Project 2 -- Final Presentation

In this analysis project, I basically choose three aspects which are form & geometric system, circulation and detail& whole. However, all of these aspects are focus on the private and public space.

Geometric & form systems: I took the facades system for example, the symmetry and golden section. As we can see, Loos carefully calculated the different size and dimensions between each parts of facade, from the lines of symmetry and repetition of using particular ratios in each facade. eg. The major of the golden section of the width of the north facade is the width of the ground level terrace, what explains their elegant integration into the overall picture of the facade. Moreover, these ratios can be seen from the parallel diagonal lines.

Circulation Loos "Raumplan" is not just section or plan but space. There are three types of way for different function and people, servant, guest and owner. Moreover, the split-levels idea combined with circulation perfectly created richly but functional interior space. As a result, its ideal divided the public and private space according to the outside and inside of the house.

Detail& Whole: I was think about a better way to illustrate the relationship between the different parts and the whole buildings, the laser-cut style drawings with X-ray. Because, imaged the house like whole "box" and cut into numbers of slices, then overlap all of them to see how these elements shift and the relationship between each other. Furthermore, I was add some material into some important parts such as the floor, the marble hall etc. Because materials were the key point to distinguished the different room's function and property in terms of private and public space.

For this proposals or conclusions, i consider in another way to illustrate the sequence of space. i just made some cubes in different dimensions to indicated the room, and lined up in straight to created a sequence. all of these were show an journey , an experience  of space.
